Description

Travel RN - Rehab

Location: Ogden, Utah
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Acute Rehab Unit
Number of Beds: 15
Patient Ratios: 1:5 with occasional 1:6
Staffing: Tech available for every 10-15 patients; no unit secretaries; charge nurse within ratio
Equipment: Transfer equipment (Sara Steady, Hoyer lift), cardiac telemetry, IV equipment, kangaroo pumps for tube feedings
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: 5-5 shifts; priority for day shift but night shift help also needed
Floating Policy: Contract labor floats first
Patient Experience: Rounding with patients each shift to prepare for discharge
Dress Code: Navy scrubs (top and bottom)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Utah
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS certification
Training in safe patient transfers

Additional Information

Unit is heavily regulated by CMS guidelines
Patients participate in 3 hours of therapy daily (PT, OT, and/or ST)
The unit culture emphasizes compassionate care ("Care Like Family")
Celebrates patient discharges with a “clap out” ceremony
Known for having excellent views and a strong team environment
