Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg - Nights

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans.
Provide leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
Care for a diverse patient population including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications.
Perform clinical tasks such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
Adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret/record measurements.
Monitor patient vitals and report adverse medication reactions promptly.
May float to other Med-Surg units as needed.
Fair share of weekend shifts required.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 6 months Med/Surg nursing experience.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Oklahoma.
