Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) (Days)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position in the PreOp department with floating to PACU.
- Weekend and holiday shifts required.
- Candidates must be able to start on the listed start date or within one week.
- Return to Office (RTO) cannot exceed 7 days and no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment.
- Candidates should be flexible with locations, shifts, and departments to increase chances of securing the assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) PACU experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
- Active RN license to practice in Arizona (verified within last 30 days).
- Life support certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS) must be current and from approved vendors (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
- PACU skills checklist completed within the last 12 months.
- Flu vaccination required (medical and/or religious exemptions accepted with documentation).
- Valid driver’s license to verify residency.
- Completion of required learning modules prior to assignment start.
- No hits on state license to practice (clean license record).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required.
Additional Information
- The assignment is at a Level I Trauma Center with nationally recognized specialty services including advanced heart care, organ transplantation, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and high-risk obstetrics care.
- The facility is a nationally ranked academic medical center with a focus on coordinated clinical care and research.
- Candidates must submit a complete cover page outlining all criteria they are willing to accept, including facilities, shifts, and departments.
- Non-billable hours are adjusted to reflect 16 hours per assignment.
- Assignments may be canceled with 7 days written notice without penalty.
Important Notes
- Arizona residents are not eligible for assignments in any Arizona facility for this position.
- Strict adherence to all background check standards is required.
