Job Opportunity: RN - Medical Surgical (Acute Care with Telemetry)

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every 4th weekend required
• No call requirements
• Blocked scheduling is an option
• No floating required

Unit & Patient Details

• Unit type: Medical Surgical with Telemetry, progressive care, and swing
• Number of beds in unit: 20
• Facility size: 40 licensed beds (including 10 swing beds)
• Average daily census: 10 patients
• Patient ratio:

  • Acute care: 1 nurse to 6 patients
  • Swing bed: 1 nurse to 10 patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including within the last year
• Acute Care experience
• Telemetry experience
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• IV starts

Additional Requirements

• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Travelers must submit required licenses and certifications with application
• Driver’s license and permanent home address must be included and match ID

Dress Code

• Scrub color: Navy blue

This position is ideal for experienced RNs with acute care medical-surgical and telemetry skills seeking a travel assignment on nights with a stable schedule and no floating.
