Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Chandler, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Join a high-quality rehabilitation team dedicated to helping patients recover from severe injuries or illnesses. The inpatient rehab program offers specialized, individualized care for a variety of patient populations including neurological, spinal cord, brain injuries, stroke, amputation, orthopedics, wound care, respiratory therapy, and intravenous antibiotic therapy.

Types of Care Provided:

  • Neurological Rehabilitation (brain, spinal cord, nerve injuries)
  • Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation
  • Brain Injury Rehabilitation
  • Stroke Rehabilitation
  • Amputation Care
  • Orthopedic Rehabilitation (fractures, joint replacements)
  • Wound Care
  • Respiratory Therapy
  • IV Antibiotic Therapy and PICC Line insertion

Unit Profile

  • Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation
  • Number of Beds: 40
  • Patient Population: Adult
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 8 patients per therapist, supported by 1-2 assistants and 1 rehab tech
  • Equipment Used: Vector, Litegait, Saeto, InMotion ARM, Senaptec Sensory, Technobody
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: UDS
  • Shift: Days
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Float Option: Available to sister facility 8 miles away

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Arizona
  • Speech Language Pathologist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Knowledge of GG Scoring

Additional Information

  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, Orthopedic, Cardiac, Falls
  • Scrub Color: Wine
