Job Opportunity: MS/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Nights
Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday (weekend nights)
- Float required within skillset/acuity
- Community hospital experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- Two years or more of total travel nursing experience
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days, including multi-state searches
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Immunizations and health documentation including:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella documentation or titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
- Annual N95 fit test (not required for sterile processing techs)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license verification
Additional Notes
- Locals within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate (not relevant for job consideration)
- Must be able to float within the MS/Tele specialty skillset and acuity level
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams required within 3 years of start date
- Color blindness testing required (online or in-person)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam must be updated annually with required scores
- Annual safety manual acknowledgement required
This position is ideal for experienced MS/Tele RNs with prior travel experience seeking weekend night shifts in a community hospital setting.
