Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Jersey
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Certifications (as applicable):

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Other certifications as applicable (e.g., CHEMO, TNCC, CPI)
• Background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella (positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Unit-specific skills checklist annually
• Work history verification for 7 years (NJ requires minimum 1 year verified with limited gaps)

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Completion of employment application/resume
• Photo for badge
• Compliance with facility orientation and safety manual acknowledgements
• Competency exams as applicable (medication/pharmacology, color blindness, core competencies)

Summary

This is a travel contract position for a NICU RN Level II in New Jersey requiring at least 2 years of NICU nursing experience and proficiency with Epic charting. The role involves night shifts and requires standard healthcare certifications and immunizations. Prior travel experience is not required. Candidates must meet comprehensive background, health, and competency requirements to qualify.
