Description

Job Opportunity: CST/ORT - Operating Room Surgical Tech

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)
Provide compassionate care by maintaining nursing practice standards and fostering positive therapeutic relationships with patients and families
Support and encourage team members
Primary shift: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm
Participate in emergency call every third week for 7 days
Main procedure focus: open heart surgery
Assist in other surgical specialties when open heart cases are not available
Experience in Operating Room or equivalent required

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist, with recent experience within the last year
Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Completion of secondary education or its equivalent

Additional Information

Position is patient-facing and onsite (not remote)
Clinical role
EMR system: Meditech
Dress code: Solid Navy scrub colors
Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals
Parking available
