Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- On-Call, Floating, and Holidays may be required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Background and Health Requirements
- 7-year background check including county criminal search, sex offender search, and state police investigation (behavioral health units)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Drug testing: 10-panel required within 30 days of start (no rapid screens)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap required
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters if titers low/equivocal
- Varicella - positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters if titers low/equivocal
- Hepatitis B - vaccine series and positive titer or signed facility declination form
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Documentation and Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID or passport
- I9 or attestation required
- E-Verify or attestation required
- Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background)
- Signed job description prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific forms including NESF form and any vaccine exemption forms if applicable
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire
Additional Notes
- Candidates must pass required competency exams with limited attempts
- Some certifications and exams may be unit-specific; confirm with recruiter or hiring manager
- Floating, on-call, and holiday shifts may be required
