Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Day Shift)

Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)

Job Description

• Provide nursing care primarily for adults with occasional pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit.
• Care settings include medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and lead to meet diverse patient needs.
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical clinical decisions.
• Focus on holistic care addressing patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
• Accountable to the Unit Director and work closely with Clinical Nurse Lead and Nursing Supervisor.
• This is not a pediatric floor; occasional pediatric patients may be present. Pediatric-only RNs should not apply.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience (higher value from description).
• Current Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• ACLS certification required prior to start.
• Preference given to candidates familiar with Meditech electronic health record system.

Additional Information

• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Shift: Day shift.
• Start date: March 25, 2026.
• Travelers start on Wednesdays; orientation week hours may be adjusted due to midweek start.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
