Location: Des Moines, Iowa
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with specialty in Medical/Surgical and Telemetry care. This is a travel assignment requiring flexibility for night shifts and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license for the state of Iowa.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - required for RNs in critical care areas.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year.
• Health Requirements:

  • Current immunizations including COVID-19 vaccine (or approved exemption), MMR, Hepatitis B series, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start date (no THC).
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) test.
  • Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work within the last year.
  • Color vision test.
• Background Checks and Compliance:

  • Federal, state, and county criminal background checks within the last 7 years.
  • Sex offender and dependent adult & child abuse registry checks (Iowa-specific).
  • Employment and education verifications.
  • Various professional compliance forms and confidentiality agreements.
• Additional Requirements:

  • Fit test for respiratory protection.
  • Trinity-specific professional and integrity forms (agency will provide).
  • Skills checklist and resume with professional references.
  • System access form completed one week prior to start.
