Description

Job Opportunity: EP Technologist

Location: Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Special Procedures Technologist assists physicians with arteriograms and other specialized radiologic procedures using sterile techniques for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing the examination area, positioning patients, operating complex radiology equipment, and assisting physicians by passing materials and taking exposures as directed. The role requires providing patient care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

Required Qualifications

Education: Completion of 2 years of training at an approved school of radiologic technology
Licenses/Certifications:
- Illinois Emergency Medical Technician (IEMA) licensure
- Radiology certification and ARRT registration
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Previous patient care experience

Additional Information

Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
Drug-free workplace with mandatory negative drug screen for all panels
Active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated is required
