Job Opportunity: Technologist - MRI (Night Shift)

Location: New Lenox, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages.
• Perform assigned supervisory functions.
• Maintain ARRT standards.
• Communicate courteously and respectfully with all customers, adhering to established customer service behaviors.
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as necessary.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide education and instructions as appropriate.
• Adhere to MRI safety standards.
• Perform all MRI studies and administer contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures.
• Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
• Operate and maintain MRI and associated equipment and supplies, including equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks.
• Report any equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Operate equipment according to manufacturer guidelines for quality control.
• Use hospital computer systems as required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with GE MRI equipment.
• ARRT Certification (AMRIT certification will not be considered).
• Current BLS certification.
