Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist

Location: Stafford Springs, Connecticut
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other week (EOW)
• Contract duration: Approximately 15 weeks

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

American Heart Association certifications are required for all direct patient care personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license for Connecticut
• Specialty-specific competency testing completed within the last year
• Fit test for respirator use
• Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (within the last year)
• Drug screening (10-panel) completed within 30 days of start date
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series initiated prior to start
  • Influenza vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal)
  • 2 Step PPD or IGRA (TB test)
  • Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
  • Tdap vaccination (or declination if no pediatric interaction)

Additional Requirements

• Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county) within last 7 years
• Education verification (highest level of academic education)
• Professional references and skills checklist within the last year
• Various professional and confidentiality agreements and forms to be completed prior to start
• Specialty-specific competency and skills checklists
• System access form to be completed one week before start
