Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will work in the operating room assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists. Your responsibilities include:

• Handing necessary instruments to the surgeon to facilitate smooth surgery
• Anticipating surgeon’s needs to avoid delays
• Monitoring certain surgical equipment related to vital signs
• Setting up and maintaining the surgical field in collaboration with the surgical team
• Assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment, ensuring all items leave the room
• Keeping surgical equipment ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc.
• Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment, and maintaining inventory records
• Conducting pre- and post-surgery patient care such as shaving, transporting, and applying dressings

Shifts are 8 hours in length.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
