Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must hold a Pennsylvania or compact RN license at time of submission.
• Shift options include 2x8 hour shifts (7am-3pm) and 2x12 hour shifts (7am-7pm).
• Experience preferred in both scrub and circulate roles.
• Floating may be required to GI unit or Surgery Center.
• Schedule includes:

  • 2 weekend night shifts (8 or 12 hours depending on staffing)
  • Holiday call: 1 summer and 1 winter (8 or 12 hours)
  • Work on 1 summer and 1 winter holiday (8 or 12 hours)
• Required experience:

  • Minimum 3 years as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least 2-3 years of Level 1 Trauma experience.
  • Experience with Level I Trauma, Liver, and Kidney cases.
• Trauma certification required.
• BSN degree required.
• Charting system used: Cerner.
• No first-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience required).

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Trauma experience

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work required holiday and weekend shifts.
• Prior travel experience is mandatory; no first-time travelers accepted.
• Floating to other units may be required.
• Pass/fail dysrhythmia exam required during orientation; failure results in contract cancellation.
• Facility uses Cerner electronic charting system.
