Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
- Patient Focus:
- 80% Post-surgical Orthopedics and General Orthopedics
- 10% Lymphedema Care (if applicable)
- 10% Neurological cases
- Visits per Day: Approximately 10
- Charting System: Epic
- On-call: No
- Weekend Requirements: No
- First-time Travelers: Accepted if experience requirements are met
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado
- Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Must complete background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings within 60 days of start
- Required health documents include:
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually
- Immunizations and titers for TB, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
- Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
- COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
- Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, core competencies, OSHA, etc.)
- Color blind testing via Ishihara exam required prior to start
- References: 2 professional references from the last 2 years, including one from the last year, preferably from a charge nurse, manager, or supervisor
- Employment history verification for the last 3 years required, with explanations for gaps over 30 days
Notes
- No prior travel experience required
- No on-call or weekend shifts
- Focus on orthopedic and neurological outpatient therapy
- Candidates must meet all licensure, certification, and health compliance requirements before start
