Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Pueblo, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
• Patient Focus:

  • 80% Post-surgical Orthopedics and General Orthopedics
  • 10% Lymphedema Care (if applicable)
  • 10% Neurological cases
• Visits per Day: Approximately 10
• Charting System: Epic
• On-call: No
• Weekend Requirements: No
• First-time Travelers: Accepted if experience requirements are met

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Colorado
• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

• Must complete background checks including 7-year history, education verification, and various federal/state screenings within 60 days of start
• Required health documents include:

  • Physical exam within 1 year
  • Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually
  • Immunizations and titers for TB, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap
  • Drug testing within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption during flu season
  • COVID vaccination proof or signed declination
• Competency exams and annual updates required (medication, core competencies, OSHA, etc.)
• Color blind testing via Ishihara exam required prior to start
• References: 2 professional references from the last 2 years, including one from the last year, preferably from a charge nurse, manager, or supervisor
• Employment history verification for the last 3 years required, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

• No prior travel experience required
• No on-call or weekend shifts
• Focus on orthopedic and neurological outpatient therapy
• Candidates must meet all licensure, certification, and health compliance requirements before start
