Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

Location: Lebanon, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday (5x8)
Call Requirements: No after-hours or weekend call
Weekend Requirements: None
Floating Requirements: May float to inpatient units for tasks if volumes are low (task-only floating)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Patient Ratio: 1:1

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab with required skills including circulating, conscious sedation, telemetry, and cath lab experience.
• Community hospital experience is required.
• May float to inpatient or pre/post procedure areas if cath volumes are low (task-only).
• Staff must stay until procedures are complete Monday through Friday.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Telemetry experience
• Skills in circulating and conscious sedation
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year background check including SS trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, and international criminal checks (if applicable), updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• Transcript/Diploma verification required
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Color blindness testing required
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
• Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M 1860R or 1860S masks)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, renewed annually
• Required immunizations or titers: Tdap, Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
• 2 professional references required
• Annual skills checklist required
