Job Description

Seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for night shift coverage. The role involves providing direct patient care in the emergency department, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and participating in unit performance improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing standards, policies, and state laws.
• Document patient care according to standards of practice.
• Perform patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patient care across units.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Engage in professional nursing development, unit practice decisions, and peer review processes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Education verification.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Certification in either Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Trauma Nursing Survey (TNS).

Schedule

• Night shift.
• May work at a secondary emergency department location within Janesville.
