Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Hartsville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care including executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and applying nursing and supervisory techniques in the care and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include attending sick calls, operating medication distribution, assessing new and existing patients, performing emergency procedures, and coordinating medical services with contract personnel. The RN also monitors inpatient hospitalizations, supervises licensed and non-licensed nursing staff, maintains confidentiality of medical records, audits pharmacy use, provides health counseling and education, and assists with accreditation processes and legal proceedings as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience within the last year
• Correctional nursing experience

Additional Information

• Must comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations related to nursing care and medication administration.
• Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of medical records.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required to prepare reports and assist with accreditation and legal matters.
