Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 1900-0730 (overnight)
  • Schedule: Every other weekend required
  • Call/Float: No call or float requirement
  • Local candidates: Locals within 60 miles accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in District of Columbia
  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Criminal background check within 90 days, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • Drug screen within 90 days of start (does not include marijuana)
  • Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
  • Immunizations and health documentation including:
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (updated annually)
    • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) documentation or titers
    • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
    • Varicella documentation or titer
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • E-Verify and I9 documentation required prior to start
  • Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function

Additional Requirements

  • Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
  • Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
  • Competency exams and certifications as required by the unit or specialty

Notes

  • No call or float duties required
  • Locals within 60 miles may have different pay rates (not disclosed here)
  • Orientation and facility-specific modules must be completed prior to start
  • This is a travel contract position with a 13-week duration
