Description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Temp Position

Location: Rolla, Missouri
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Assist physical therapists in treating patients of all ages, from newborns to end-of-life care.
Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups.
Follow instructions from the physical therapist and collaborate directly to modify care as needed.
Communicate with patients' families to recommend effective at-home techniques.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the physical therapy area.
Assist patients in moving from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.
Teach patients techniques including balance training.

Required Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience.
Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings.

Additional Information

Work schedule: 8-hour shifts, day shift.
Dress code: Scrubs.
