Description

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Temporary Position

Location: Lebanon, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Provide specialized respiratory care services across critical care units, surgical, and medical floors. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied staff to schedule and deliver treatments. Respond to emergencies, codes, rapid response teams, and patient transports. Perform blood gas analysis and mechanical ventilation management following protocols and physician orders. Maintain respiratory equipment according to manufacturer specifications.


Required Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services as an RRT
  • Graduate of an AMA-Approved School of Respiratory Therapy
  • Experience with ventilators, ICU, Emergency Department, blood gases, floor therapies, nebulizers, and inhalers
  • Ability to work independently and manage shifts alone
  • EPIC electronic medical record experience required
  • Active American Heart Association certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • Must have own vehicle for assignment
  • Two supervisory references completed within the last two years

Additional Information

  • CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) candidates will not be considered
  • No local travelers within 50 miles of the facility will be considered
  • Requested time off must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no more than 5 days of time off allowed during assignment
  • Non-billable orientation of 8 hours required
  • Respond to all codes and emergencies as needed
  • Documentation and billing for services rendered are part of the role
