Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg (Nights)

Location: Lebanon, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide patient care by formulating, revising, and evaluating individualized plans of care based on patient response.
• Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed.
• Organize and prioritize job functions effectively.
• Use assessment data to identify patient care needs, including patient education and discharge planning.
• Recognize and report abnormal assessment data, incorporating findings into the plan of care and revising expected outcomes accordingly.
• Accurately document all patient care activities, including wound assessment, patient teaching, progress toward goals, medication administration, nursing flow sheets, and assessment forms.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to healthcare team members.

Patient Population: Pediatric to Geriatric
Nurse to Patient Ratio: Typically 1:5, possibly 1:7 on nights
EMR System: EPIC
Dress Code: Any color scrubs
Orientation: 8 hours (non-billable)
Call/Charge: Not applicable for this assignment

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience (required)
• Previous travel nursing experience of at least 6 months (required)
• Telemetry/Progressive Care experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact License (must be uploaded)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)

Additional Requirements

• Must have own vehicle for this assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at time of application; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed during assignment
• Block scheduling requests will not be considered
• Local travelers residing within 50 miles will not be considered

Work Environment

• 19-bed facility
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric
• Night shift with possible nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7
• Use of EPIC electronic medical records system

Notes

• Traveler must be able to work the posted schedule without shift accommodations.
• Scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer.
