Job Opportunity: Medical Technologist

Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (1:00 PM – 10:30 PM), 7 days on, 7 days off

Job Description

The Medical Technologist is responsible for the efficient planning, directing, and accurate provision of all laboratory testing in their assigned area of licensure. This role requires critical thinking, judgment, and leadership in laboratory technology, practicing in accordance with laboratory policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and recognized testing techniques.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist (must be current and verifiable)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience in blood bank with MTS gel and tube methods
• Experience with Beckman Coulter hematology analyzers (models 520 and 690)
• Manual differential experience
• Experience with body fluid cell count and differential procedures
• Experience with Werfen Top coagulation instrumentation
• Experience with urine microscopic procedures

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
