Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel Position

Location: Atlantis, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours
• On call: No
• Weekends: One weekend per month (with weekdays off to balance)
• Unit: Inpatient Rehabilitation (42-bed unit)
• Patient populations: Orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical
• Typical procedures: Inpatient care for diverse rehab populations
• Equipment used: Treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, exercise bikes
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech
• Patient ratios vary based on volume
• Team includes Director, Lead PT, Physical and Occupational Therapists, and Assistants
• No night shifts

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Florida
• Physical Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of current experience
• Experience within the last year in hospital acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility settings
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (preferred but not required)
