Job Opportunity: Pathologist Assistant

Location: Boone, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 2 months

Job Description

The Pathologist Assistant supports the Pathologist with autopsy and surgical pathology services. Responsibilities include:

Accessioning, processing, and grossing surgical specimens
Maintaining morgue facilities
Assisting with autopsies
Disposing of tissue specimens and chemical waste
Performing routine instrument maintenance
Other duties within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

BS or MS degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 6 months (0.5 years) experience as a Pathologist Assistant
Pathologist Assistant experience within the last year
