Registered Nurse (RN) – Observation Unit, Evening Shift

Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Primarily assigned to the Observation Unit (1S)
• Required to float to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac, and possibly the Emergency Department if appropriately skilled
• 36 hours per week, day shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Taking call is very rare
• Must be proficient in Epic EMR (no refresher or 1:1 training provided; proficiency will be tested on day one)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 3 years of recent/current Telemetry and/or Step-down nursing experience
• Ability to read Telemetry/BCRA; competency will be tested on day one with immediate termination if not passed
• Epic EMR proficiency is mandatory and will be verified immediately

Additional Information

• Facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract; canceled hours are not limited to 12-hour shifts
• Start and end dates, as well as requested time off, must be strictly adhered to as per contract requirements
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
