Job Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation sessions available regularly.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Night shift differential: 16 hours.
• Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply.
• Call back and on-call pay available.
• Charge/Precept pay available.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical, Post-Op, or Stepdown nursing.
• Surgical and post-op surgical experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid Illinois RN license required.
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract (preferred).
• Must not have been employed by this employer in the last 12 months.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
• Driver’s license required.
• Work history/resume required.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required.
• License verification required.
• Copy of required certifications required.
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Comfortable caring for up to 5-7 patients (nurse-to-patient ratio information encouraged on work history).

Additional Information

• The position involves working in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required.

Note: Prior travel experience is preferred but not strictly required.
