Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

• Main Operating Room with 13 ORs
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Team includes RNs, Surgical Techs, Support Staff, Board Runners
• Equipment includes Stryker Ortho Systems, Stryker Lap Towers, Da Vinci Xi Robots (x2), Mako Navigation, Omni Navigation
• Documentation system: MEDITECH
• Scheduling: Call shifts, 4-5 per 4 weeks, weekend rotation, no set schedule but reasonable
• Floating required if ORs are shut down (internal first, then assisting other areas)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Urology experience
• Advanced orthopedic skills
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required

Procedures

• All surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye surgeries
