Description

Job Opportunity: Step Down Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but can be up to 1:5-6.
Shift options: 36 or 48 hours per week.
Overtime paid after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts.
Must have experience with stable chronic ventilators.
Must have EPIC electronic health record experience.
Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting.
Floating required: may float to other specialty clusters or campuses within ~15 miles.
Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays.
Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts or contract with notice.
Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Minimum 1.5 years of stepdown nursing experience, with stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
