Description

Occupational Therapist - Outpatient

Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Responsible for patient evaluation, development, and follow-through of treatment plans
  • Experience in outpatient hand therapy required
  • Experience working with post-operative hand surgeries and splinting required
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Oregon
  • NBCOT certification
  • Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum of 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience in an outpatient setting

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Clear copy of valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID
  • Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
  • Education verification (transcript or diploma acceptable)
  • Physical exam within one year of start
  • Immunizations and health screenings including:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella antibody titers or vaccinations
    • Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series or declination
    • Varicella antibody titer or vaccination or declination
  • Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or signed declination required year-round

Additional Notes

  • Badge photo required at least 8 days prior to start (white background)
  • Fit mask testing to be completed onsite within the first week of starting
  • Competency exams and required training modules must be completed by the due date
  • Two professional references required, including at least one supervisory reference within the last 12 months

Specialty Experience Requirement

  • Minimum clinical experience in occupational therapy with emphasis on outpatient hand therapy and post-op hand surgery care

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required
