Job Opportunity: Pharmacist Inpatient
Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off (starting Wednesday)
- Shift Hours: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM or 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required
- On-call: No
- Certification Requirements:
- IV Certification
- PharmD Certification
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacist license in Texas
- Pharmacist with at least 1 year of experience within the last year
- IV Certification
- PharmD Certification
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- I9 or attestation
- Valid government-issued photo ID (passport acceptable)
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, sex offender search, and federal exclusions
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Drug testing (10-panel) within 30 days of start
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months, with annual updates and follow-up if positive
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series and/or positive titer or signed declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
- Fit mask test (completed onsite during orientation, updated annually)
- Photo for badge (passport style preferred)
Competency Exams and Certifications
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (two attempts allowed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications may be required depending on unit assignment
Additional Notes
- No prior travel experience explicitly required
- No on-call duties
- Every other weekend work is mandatory
This position is ideal for a pharmacist with at least one year of inpatient pharmacy experience, holding a PharmD and IV certification, who is comfortable working night shifts on a 7-on/7-off schedule.
