Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Location: Orange Park, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Scheduled according to facility policy, expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.
• Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each.
• On-call schedule: Approximately 15-18 days per month, with 2 call teams.
• Floating support in prep/recovery area as needed.
• Use of Meditech EMR system.
• Newer procedure rooms and equipment.
• Team includes 5-10 physicians and a dedicated charge nurse for daily flow.

Unit & Equipment

• Procedural position in a cardiac catheterization lab.
• Equipment includes GE Innova, OCT, Boston IVUS, Impella, IABP, RotoPro, CSI, Penumbra.
• Documentation system: MacLab / Meditech.
• Procedures performed: Diagnostic Left Heart Cath, PCI, STEMI, Stroke, Carotid Stenting, Peripheral diagnostic and intervention.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Cath Lab Tech Certification (RCIS or RCES or RT(R))
• Advanced skills needed:

  • Ability to scrub for Left Heart Cath (LHC), Right Heart Cath (RHC), PCI, STEMI, and Peripheral procedures
  • Ability to monitor patients during procedures
