Sonographer – Pediatric Echo

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Pediatric Echo Sonographer to perform fetal and pediatric echocardiography studies in an inpatient children’s hospital unit. The role involves approximately 8 scans/studies per day using Philips EPIQ7 equipment and working with EMR/PACS systems (EPIC and ISCV).

Work Schedule

• Day shifts, typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• Weekend and holiday work not typically required
• No call or standby requirements (may be discussed further during interview)
• Self-scheduling or block scheduling may be available

Required Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer – Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) certification
• ARDMS certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience with pediatric echo sonography, including fetal echo
• Ability to work in a high-quality, detail-oriented environment (two references and clean history required)

Additional Information

• Department-specific orientation provided
• No requirement to purchase new scrubs; light grey scrubs or child-appropriate tops are acceptable
• No IV starts required
• No radiologist in-house or Registered Radiology Assistants involved
• Must be able to float/cover inpatient echo within the pediatric unit

• Previous permanent or travel candidates must meet specific time restrictions before reapplying
• Travel teams must be submitted together if applicable
