Job Description

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patients and families and provide appropriate education.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Operate Stryker videotowers for laparoscopic surgery procedures.
• May be required to float between two facilities.
• Position requires weekday and weekend on-call with a one-hour response time.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call and weekend hours may vary

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to respond within one hour when on call.
• May need to float between units or facilities as needed.
