Job Opportunity: Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT)

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will work within the operating room to assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists by handing necessary instruments and anticipating their needs to ensure efficient surgeries. Responsibilities include:

Setting up and maintaining the surgical field
Collaborating with nurses and doctors during procedures
Assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment, ensuring all items leave the room
Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment
Keeping inventory records up to date
Conducting pre- and post-surgery patient care such as shaving, transporting, and applying dressings

Shifts are 8 hours in length.

Required Qualifications

NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting, including experience within the last year

Additional Information

This position is a replacement for permanent staff
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
