Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic sleep testing including all PAP therapy titration
• Check in patients, set up rooms, patient hookup, charting, and cleaning equipment
• Use computerized charting systems including Natus XLTech Sleep Works and ResMed S9 Devices
• Work in a 10-bed Sleep Lab (2 beds designated for pediatric testing)
• Patient ratio is generally 2:1 techs, except 1:1 for patients younger than 3 years old
• Lab operates Sunday through Thursday with night shifts only (12-hour shifts)
• No floating to other units or departments
• Employee will not work alone; no on-call required
• Orientation includes modified EMR training and one shift shadowing another sleep tech

Schedule

• Nights only, Sunday through Thursday
• 12-hour shifts
• 3 night shifts per week (shifts may not be consecutive and can include split shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Sleep Tech trained with a minimum of 1 year experience
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

• Located in a hospital outpatient department, off-campus in a clinic setting
• Secured entrance with flat lot parking immediately outside
• No cafeteria on site
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Scrubs color: Gray
