Description

Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Work Schedule

  • Option 1: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (day off after call)
  • Option 2: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Call required: One night per week and every 5th weekend
  • Floating between units required

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
  • Must have experience in IR, Special Procedures, and Neuro work settings
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system

Licenses & Certifications

  • Current South Carolina license for Radiology
  • ARRT Radiography (R) required
  • ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required

Systems & Skills

  • Medication system: Omnicell
  • Documentation system: EPIC (minimum 1 year experience required)

Required Qualifications & Compliance

  • Must pass background checks including 7-year history and various federal/state screenings
  • Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually
  • Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (if applicable)
    • Flu vaccine or approved exemption (seasonal requirement)
    • Hepatitis B vaccination series or declination
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Respirator fit test to be completed onsite during orientation
  • Completion of online orientation modules and pass/fail testing prior to start
  • Annual competencies and training including Core Parts I, II, III, medication/pharmacology exams, and others as applicable
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required

Additional Notes

  • Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style, plain background)
  • Must carry valid driver’s license for computer access setup
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Orientation includes approximately 12-16 hours of online modules and 16 hours of onsite orientation
  • Pass/fail testing for medication and arrhythmia exams required for RNs and certain tech roles
  • Various certifications such as TNCC, ENPC, CPI, MAB, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit assignment
