Job Description

• Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of experience (no travel experience accepted).
• Night shifts required every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
• Patient load: approximately 70-75 treatments per day; employees typically perform about 35 treatments daily.
• Work environment includes ER, Acute Care, ICU, nursery, and deliveries.
• Patient types: Adults, neonates, and soon pediatric patients.
• Respiratory care includes ventilators, BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomies, and EKG.
• Nursery patients include preemies and pre-term infants (32 weeks and over).
• Duties include EKG, intubation assistance, emergency response, code blue response, ventilator management, patient assessment, arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis.
• Must have strong customer service skills.
• Orientation: 2 shifts floor-specific.
• Call required once a month with a 30-minute response time, including weekends.
• Weekend scheduling: either Monday-Friday or weekend shifts.
• Holiday shifts rotate with permanent staff.
• Scrub color: Ceil blue.
• Shift length: 12 hours (7 AM - 7 PM).

Required Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT (no travel experience accepted).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, RRT.
• Must comply with facility radius rule: Driver’s license address must be within 75 miles of the main campus.
• Must provide copies of diplomas, certificates, transcripts, or degrees related to respiratory care or laboratory/patient testing due to ABG analysis requirements.

Additional Information

• Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
• Common patient disease processes encountered.
• State lab and CLIA compliance require documentation of education and certifications related to respiratory care and laboratory testing.

Note: Prior travel experience is NOT required for this position.
