Registered Nurse (OR) - Travel Position

Job Description

• Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Document patient care provided.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate and provide patient/family education tailored to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
• Operate Stryker video towers for laparoscopic surgery procedures.
• Position requires weekday and weekend call with a one-hour response time; may float between two facilities.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call and weekend hours may vary

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
