Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Typical shifts are 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, with on-call duties after department hours (approximately 7 on-call days per month, though these shifts are generally not busy).
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8:15 AM – 6:45 PM
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call after hours as required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine license in Oregon
- Minimum 5 years of Nuclear Medicine experience, including experience within the last year
- Certification with either the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and ongoing every 30 days
- Physical exam within one year of start
- Fit mask testing onsite within the first week of starting (unless exempt)
- Required immunizations and/or titers: Tdap, TB screening, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu vaccine or declination
- Drug testing (10-panel) within 90 days of start
- References: 2 references within last 2 years showing 1 year in comparable specialty, with at least one supervisory reference within last 12 months
Onboarding & Compliance
- Completion of required competency exams and HealthStream modules by due dates
- Badge photo submission prior to start
- DOT Highway Shipping & Transportation of RAM training for Nuclear Medicine Techs (approx. 1 hour)
- Various facility-specific forms and assessments as applicable

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
