Cath Lab Technician
Location: Hartford, Connecticut
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- On-call responsibilities every third weekend and 2 weekdays
Required Certifications & Licenses
- RCIS or Registered Technologist (Radiologic Technologist - RT(R)) license required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, with experience within the last year
- Current and valid RCIS or RT(R) license
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification
- Must provide proof of required certifications and licenses dated within 30 days of start
- Must complete all required health screenings and immunizations (see below)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccine (including booster or approved exemption)
- Influenza vaccine or approved exemption
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or immunity proof
- Hepatitis B vaccination series (proof of initiation required before start)
- Varicella vaccination or immunity proof
- Tdap vaccine (or declination if no pediatric interaction)
- 2-step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per state guidelines)
- Physical/Health statement confirming fitness to work (exam within last year)
- Respirator fit test
Screening & Background Checks
- 10-panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (no THC)
- Federal, nationwide, and county criminal background check (last 7 years)
- Social Security Number verification
- Education verification (highest degree or diploma)
- Exclusion and sanction screenings (OIG, EPLS, OFAC, NSO)
- Conflict of interest and code of conduct forms
- Skills checklist provided by agency for clinical contractors
Additional Information
- Must complete system access and confidentiality agreements prior to start
- All documentation must be uploaded and verified before onboarding
