Job Details

• Specialty: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
• Number of OR suites: 15
• Cases per day: 55-70 (all procedures including same day and overnight stays)
• Shift options:

  • Day shifts, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts (6 AM–2 PM, 7 AM–3 PM, 8 AM–4 PM, 9 AM–5 PM)
  • 4x10’s (7 AM–5 PM) or 3x12’s (7 AM–7 PM)
• Call requirements:

  • 1-2 second calls per schedule (monthly), which includes a 24-hour call one weekend day (7 AM–7 AM)
  • Rotating weekends: 8-hour shift (7 AM–3 PM) on Saturday or Sunday, plus 24-hour on-call on weekend days
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • No mandatory standby call
• Floating: May float to OR holding area
• Orientation: Surgical Center/pre-op area orientation provided
• Dress code: Scrub color provided by facility

Required Skills and Experience

• IV skills required
• Surgical care knowledge, including robotics experience
• Experience working in a pre-op/surgical center environment preferred

Certifications and Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Must have an unexpired driver’s license (within 50-mile radius rule)
• Licensing issues must be disclosed at time of submission

Additional Notes

• This position is in a pre-op surgical center (not a free-standing surgical center)
• Weekend call schedule: 1 weekend day on call every 4 weeks, plus 1 weekend day second call every 4 weeks
