Job Opportunity: Pathologists Assistant

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position requires a Pathologists Assistant with 2+ years of experience.
• Specialty focus: Anatomic Pathology / Pediatric Pathology.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible overtime if cases run late.
• No weekend shifts.
• Shift type: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (Day shift).

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pathology Assistant license in District of Columbia.
• Pathology Assistant with at least 2 years of experience.
• Pathology Assistant experience within the last year.
• A Bachelor's degree.

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information.
• Fit test for N95 or PAPR respirators within 1 year of start, updated annually.
• Immunizations and titers required with lab values and reference ranges:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive quantitative titer).
  • Hepatitis B series and quantitative surface antibody titer.
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive quantitative titer).
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (must include marijuana).
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required.
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking.

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers).
• Employment application and skills checklist required.
• Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines and be submitted immediately after signing.
• Completion of orientation safety manual acknowledgment and pass/fail testing where applicable.
• Facility-specific training modules and compliance training may be required prior to start.
