Description

Job Opportunity: Pediatric PACU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide post-anesthesia care and pre-testing for pediatric patients.
Must have 2-3 years of experience in Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care and Pre Testing.
No on-call shifts.
Missed shifts due to call outs must be made up at the end of the contract; extra days will be added.
Clearance required prior to the first day of assignment.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Minimum 2 years of experience in Pediatric Post Anesthesia Care (PACU), including experience within the last year.
Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric pre-testing.
Experience working with pediatric patients.
Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA):
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Chemotherapy certification (if applicable to unit).
