Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Travel Position

Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

Provide inpatient rehabilitation services to patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. Work in a specialized rehabilitation hospital environment with a focus on improving functional ability and quality of life.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Profile

• Number of Beds: 60
• Patient Ratios: 7 to 1
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 years and older)
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, orthopedic, debility, cardiac conditions
• Equipment Used: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, Body weight support
• Electronic Health Records: UDS and Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
• Physical Therapy Assistant with at least 1 year of experience
• Experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the last year
• Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting
• Experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
