Job Description

Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with inpatient rehabilitation and/or acute care experience. The position supports patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.

The facility provides specialized rehabilitation services including:

• Brain injury unit with monitored rooms and dedicated therapy spaces
• Stroke care unit with specialized equipment
• Gymnasiums with high-tech therapy devices
• Private, family-friendly rooms
• Special apartment for practicing daily living tasks
• Pet therapy and recreational programs
• Outdoor healing garden and walking trail

Work Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 60
• Patient Ratios: 7 to 1
• Patient Population: Geriatric, adult, and pediatric (13 years and older)
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Neurological, orthopedic, debility, cardiac
• Equipment Used: EKSO, InMotion UE Robotic, Body weight support
• Electronic Health Records: UDS and Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• Experience within the last year as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Experience in inpatient, rehabilitation, long term care, and post-acute settings
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
