Job Opportunity: Transplant Coordinator (Kidney-Pancreas)
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (08:00 AM - 05:00 PM) with 1-hour lunch
- On Call/Weekend: No on-call or weekend requirements
- Float Requirement: None
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of transplant experience, including transplant experience within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of experience in clinic or acute inpatient medical-surgical settings (basic MedSurg experience accepted)
- Experience in a clinic setting
- Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignment
- Valid ACLS certification
- Valid BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Valid NRP certification
- Tech Cert Verification - National
- CBSPD certification
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, including all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Drug screening within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with additional documentation if history of TB
- Documentation of MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap vaccinations or titers as required
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start, updated annually (if applicable)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (must score 80% or higher) within 3 years of start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (for RNs in specific specialties) with required scores and remediation if needed
Notes
- This position does not require weekend or on-call duties.
- The role involves coordination of kidney-pancreas transplant patients.
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption is mandatory for all candidates during flu season.
- All required documentation and certifications must be completed prior to start date.
