Job Description

• Position requires experience as a surgical tech specifically on a Labor and Delivery Unit.
• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Weekend Requirement: Every 4th weekend (Friday & Saturday)
• On-Call Requirement: Every 4th weekend (Saturday & Sunday day shift), on call starting at 7 AM on the same weekend they work.
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Scrubs are provided.
• Weekly orientations available.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no exemptions or declinations accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a surgical tech on the Labor and Delivery (OB/L&D) unit, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete background checks including SSN trace, county searches, sex offender, education verification, and sanction list searches.
• Must complete competency exams and pass/fail testing during orientation.
• Must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems.
• Must provide 2 professional references from employment within the last 12 months, with at least one supervisor reference.
• Must complete all required online modules prior to orientation.
• Must comply with all facility-specific onboarding and documentation requirements.

Work Environment & Other Details

• Local candidates within 75 miles are considered.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
• Candidates must be available for weekend shifts and on-call duties as specified.
• Orientation and training provided weekly.
• Flu vaccine is strictly required; refusal will result in contract cancellation.
